While waiting for the bus, the sun gleamed on my face and obstructed my view of the woman standing in front of me. Her luggage stood alone a little further away from where she was standing. She was clasping on to her laptop. We stood a meter a part, but I could sense there were words on the tip of her tongue. So I looked her way and smiled when our eyes met. "Is this the building...?" She mouthed the words without expression, but I felt her discomfort, and her anxiety as she clasped on to her laptop. I told her she was at the right place. She told me she is from Uganda. She has come here to complete a course for the summer. I began to understand the reason for her discomfort, her anxiety. She spoke confidently, but there were traces of concern in her speech. I noticed her attire and the condition of her laptop. She stood out, though I know she didn't mean to. "Canadians are very nice" She spoke without smiling. I noticed my bus. "First, at the airport I met a nice person...and now you." I was a little sad to leave. I took my seat on the bus, and looked out the window. She was gone. Her luggage was gone. It was only a matter of minutes, and she had disappeared. The place she stood in looked so different. I learned so much in a matter of minutes. There was an understanding between the words.
